Every Friday during the NBA season was a joy for me, because I got to open up a column by ESPN’s Zach Lowe, in which he’d break down the Xs and Os in the league and why certain players were exploding, struggling or somewhere in between.
We’re no longer getting that or his podcast at the Worldwide Leader, because — per Andrew Marchand of The Athletic — Lowe and ESPN have “parted ways” according to “sources briefed on the decision told The Athletic on Thursday.”
The move is part of the ESPN layoffs we’ve seen in recent months with names like Robert Griffin III and Sam Ponder being let go.
It’s all a bummer.
