The Cincinnati Bengals might have avoided an 0-3 start, but the upcoming slate of games will likely dictate how the entire season unfolds.
Over the next five games, the Bengals play two critical AFC battles and what many would consider two contenders right in a row.
Interesting, then, is a look at the percentage chance ESPN analytics gives the Bengals to win each game:
- at Titans (64 percent)
- at Cardinals (72 percent)
- vs. Seahawks (57 percent)
- at 49ers (38 percent)
- vs Bills (33 percent)
Of note, the Bengals have a bye after the Seahawks game before playing the 49ers on the road.
These sorts of percentages feel like a bit of a trap, though. Joe Burrow’s dealing with an injury and the most winnable game here against the Cardinals is a tough sell because they’ve looked better than the record would indicate.
Still, it will be interesting to see if the percentages change at all in a few weeks if Burrow keeps healing while playing as planned.
