ESPN College GameDay coming to Ann Arbor for Michigan football vs. Texas

It’s going to be a huge game next week! #GoBlue

Michigan football opens up the regular season of 2024 on Saturday but ESPN is already looking past Week 1 into Week 2.

The Wolverines host Texas on Sept. 7, the second-ever meeting with the Longhorns, and the first time UT comes to The Big House. The game will be the biggest of the week and it will be broadcast on Fox with Big Noon Kickoff in tow.

But ESPN doesn’t want to be left out.

ESPN announced on Saturday morning, a full week out, that its flagship show, College GameDay, will be in Ann Arbor for the big matchup. The last time ESPN came to campus is was in the regular season finale last year against rival Ohio State.

It’s unclear where ESPN will set up but for that last game against the Buckeyes, it set up over at the track behind the athletic facilities such as the IM building. Given that Fox will most likely set up at Pioneer High School, ESPN will likely have to find an alternative location on campus, whether it be where it last was or perhaps somewhere on central campus such as The Diag.
