ESPN bails on Famous Toastery Bowl in OT for ‘Monday Night Countdown’

College football fans were furious with ESPN on Monday

The decision was questioned. And we aren’t talking about how Old Dominion blew a 28-0 lead and lost to Western Kentucky in the Famous Toastery Bowl on Monday.

Rather, ESPN’s call to switch the game from the network to ESPN2 during its thrilling conclusion so it could show all two hours of the pregame show “Monday Night Countdown.”

With Old Dominion facing third down on the first possession of overtime, the network moved the game to ESPN 2.
