ESPN analyst reveals who he would take No. 1 overall in 2024 NFL draft

A college football analyst had high praise for UNC football quarterback Drake Maye.

We are entering the final few weeks of the regular season in college football which means we only have a few more games left of Drake Maye in a North Carolina uniform.

Barring a major surprise, Maye will likely leave North Carolina after this season and head to the NFL. As of now, Maye is considered as one of the top prospects for the 2024 NFL draft, falling anywhere from No. 1 to No. 3 depending on the analyst.

On Tuesday, former NFL quarterback and current analyst Tim Hasselbeck offered his thoughts on Maye as well as USC’s Caleb Williams and had some interesting comments.

“A lot of people talk about Caleb Williams. Drake Maye, is to me, about as perfect of a prospect that I have ever seen in 15 years at ESPN,” Hasselbeck said via Awful Announcing.

“There are good quarterbacks coming out in this draft. … I think if you’re in the market for one of these guys that I believe is going to be really, really good, I think you’ve got to get involved in the game. Drake Maye for me would be at the top of the list.”

Maye and Williams have been considered the two top prospects for over a year now. Both have battled to earn the right to be the No. 1 player taken overall and things should get interesting the closer we get to April’s draft.
