ESPN analyst breaks down pitch Raiders could use to lure in Tom Brady

Here’s what the Oakland Raiders’ pitch might look like.

If New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady hits free agency, the pitches will be flowing. NFL teams will wait in line to explain why they are the best landing spot for the six-time Super Bowl champion.

With the Oakland Raiders reportedly preparing their pitch for Brady, ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky did his best impression of coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock. Here’s what their pitch might looks like.

“If I’m the Raiders, I’m going to go, ‘Come, you make the 12th pick. It’s going to be an offensive skill player and we’ll let you go through this process and pick the receiver that you want,’” Orlovsky said on ESPN’s “Get Up.” “I don’t know if Tom’s great at all that scouting. I would imagine he’s phenomenal at it.”

The Los Angeles Chargers are also a likely suitor for Brady, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. And then there are a number of other obvious options, most of which have to decide between their incumbent starter and Brady. Those teams include the Indianapolis Colts, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tennessee Titans, among others.
