Erika Connolly qualifies for 2024 Olympics

Former Lady Vol swimmer to represent the United States in the 2024 Olympics.

Former Lady Vols’ swimmer Erika Connolly will compete for the United States’ Olympic swim team.

Connolly qualified for the 2024 Olympic games in Paris, France during Olympic Team Swimming Trials, contested at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She will compete in the women’s 400-meter freestyle relay team.

Connolly recorded a rime of 53.86 seconds and finished tied for sixth with Tennessee Pro Group member Catie Deloof. The two competed in a swim-off, with Connolly recording a time of  53.76, her fastest mark of the trials, winning the event by .04 seconds.

Connolly is one of six athletes on the 400-meter freestyle relay team. She will also compete on the United States’ 100-meter freestyle finals by winning a swim-off against Anna Moesch and posting a time of 53.92.

She will make her second appearance in the Olympics after winning two medals in 2020.

Connolly is the 13th Tennessee athlete who will compete in Paris.
