‘Engaged’ Aaron Rodgers thanks fiancee in MVP speech amid Shailene Woodley reports

Whoa!

Congratulations to Aaron Rodgers.

Not only did the Green Bay Packers quarterback win his third NFL MVP award, he announced during his acceptance speech that he was engaged and he thanked his fiancee, although not by name.

Rodgers and NASCAR star Danica Patrick were together from 2017 to 2020, when reports said that they had broken up.

Since then there wasn’t anything more about Rodgers’ relationship status until a few days ago, when E! said it confirmed that Rodgers and actress Shailene Woodley were in “a long distance relationship.”

But as for official confirmation from Rodgers himself? Nothing when it came to Woodley’s name, but here’s his speech:

“2020 was definitely a crazy year, filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing memorable moments. A hundred and eighty straight days of having my nose hairs scraped. Playing for very little fans or no stands the entire season. I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career.”

And on the list of his thank-yous was “my fiancee.”

Again: we don’t know who exactly he’s talking about. Maybe we’ll get confirmation in the coming days.

Still … congrats!
