Emmanuel Sanders was traded by the Broncos last fall but it appears that he’s still living (or at least training) in the Denver area.
On Wednesday, Sanders posted a video on his Instagram story showing him running routes for Saints quarterback Drew Brees at a local high school. It’s smart for Sanders to get in some work with Brees before training camp but the new teammates are not following the NFLPA’s recommendation.
Last week, the NFLPA advised against unofficial practices because of the spread of COVID-19. Broncos quarterback Drew Lock had been practicing with several teammates at a Denver-area park before the NFLPA sent a letter discouraging voluntary workouts.
That letter didn’t stop Sanders from working with Brees and it hasn’t stopped Tom Brady from practicing with Buccaneers teammates in Florida. In Washington, Russell Wilson has also been working with DK Metcalf.
Clearly, not all NFL players are following the NFLPA’s suggestion.
