[autotag]Emerling-Gase Motorsports[/autotag] had two full-time entries in its second year of existence, and it went pretty well. There were no full-time drivers, but Joey Gase secured the organization’s first top-10 finish at Talladega Superspeedway in the spring. It was a big moment for the NASCAR team as it finally had the speed and superspeedway luck to make it happen.
Several other drivers, such as Conor Daly, B.J. McLeod, and Patrick Emerling, competed with the organization, but none earned a top-10 finish. Overall, this shouldn’t be deemed a failure because the team doesn’t have the best equipment and remains fairly new. The expectations shouldn’t have been through the roof for a lower-tier team.
In 2024, Emerling-Gase Motorsports will continue to have two full-time entries as it grows in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The field will be deeper next season, so it will be crucial that equipment is improved and more consistency is built. It will be interesting to see how the team’s third year goes, as two full-time entries remain the goal.
