Emergency protective order against former Celtics guard Rajon Rondo dismissed

The order was granted after Rondo allegedly threatened his children and their mother with a gun.

Former Boston Celtics champion point guard Rajon Rondo has had an emergency protective order issued by the request of the mother of his children, Ashley Bachelor, dismissed by a Kentucky judge after both Rondo and Bachelor “reached an agreement”, according to Brooks Holton of the Louisville Courier-Journal.

The order had been issued after a May 11 incident in which Bachelor reported Rondo “enraged and violent,” threatening her with a gun. Bachelor reported that she feared for the safety of herself and their children, stating that Rondo “has a history of volatile, erratic, explosive behavior.”

The league has previously acknowledged its awareness of the incident and is reportedly gathering more information at present.

No criminal charges have been found to have been made against Rondo, but Bachelor related that she did not call 911 initially because of “what Rajon might do if a formal report was made.”

Neither the former Celtics guard nor his attorney returned the Courier Journal’s inquiries into the incident and subsequent court proceedings.
