Small forward [autotag]Annor Boateng[/autotag] is one of the top players in the 2024 recruiting class and on Saturday he trimmed his schools down to eight. The Little Rock, Arkansas native announced a final eight of Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Indiana, LSU, Missouri, Ohio State and Virginia Tech.
Boateng officially visited Auburn back in January and that is his only official visit so far, though he has taken unofficial trips to Arkansas and Missouri. The trip to the Plains impressed him and allowed him to get to see how Auburn operated on a game day he told On3’s Jamie Shaw.
“I got to see them in action, which was great. They played against my hometown school, Arkansas. Their whole game routine, the way the coaches interact with the players, is like a family there. I got to talk with some of the players on the side, and they just made it a great experience to be there.
Boateng is the No. 25 player and the No. 10 small forward in the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also the No. 1 player from Arkansas.
The 6-foot-5, 205-pounder was named the 2022-23 Arkansas Boys Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year after averaging 15.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocks per game as a junior for Little Rock Central High School.
Auburn has already one elite player in the 2024 cycle, five-star point guard Tahaad Pettifort as [autotag]Bruce Pearl[/autotag] and Co. continue to bring elite recruits to the Plains.
