The Tigers are already off to a promising start in the 2024 recruiting cycle, and it would get even better if they could close things out with consensus five-star edge rusher [autotag]Colin Simmons[/autotag].
Simmons is in the midst of planning his official visit schedule, and he’s already decided to take trips to three schools: Georgia, Texas and LSU.
A five-star prospect from Duncanville, Texas, who ranks as the No. 3 player nationally per On3’s industry rankings and the 247Sports Composite, Simmons called visiting LSU a “no-brainer.” He’s taken a number of visits to Baton Rouge, most recently in September.
LSU is the favorite here per On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine at 44.1%, and coach Brian Kelly’s team holds a Crystal Ball projection from 247Sports director of football recruiting Steve Wiltfong.
Simmons would become the highest-rated commit in a 2024 recruiting class for the Tigers that currently ranks second nationally.
