Elite in-state football, basketball recruit to visit North Carolina Monday

An elite in-state football and basketball recruit will visit North Carolina on Monday for the Tar Heels ACC game against Wake Forest.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are hosting Wake Forest on Monday night in a big Atlantic Coast Conference showdown in the Dean Dome. And when they do, there will be a special visitor in attendance.

An elite in-state recruit for both football and basketball will be in attendance as Kendre Harrison announced via X (Formerly Twitter) that he will be at North Carolina on Monday.

The Reidsville, North Carolina product is a 2026 prospect that is drawing attention from a lot of big programs. Harrison is listed as an athlete on the football side, picking up 23 offers in the process.

With Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, Oregon, and Colorado among others offering, the Tar Heels have some tough competition. Harrison is ranked No. 4 nationally, the No. 1 tight end and No. 1 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

On the basketball side, he holds offers from Florida State, Wake Forest and Texas A&M among others.  The Tar Heels haven’t offered Harrison on the basketball side as of yet.
