Texas’ 2023 recruiting class has picked up a monster commitment in four-star cornerback Malik Muhammad.
The South Oak Cliff product chose the Longhorns over Alabama, Texas A&M and Miami.
The updated 247Sports Composite rankings list Muhammad as the No. 5 cornerback in the nation and the No. 7 prospect in the state of Texas. He joins quarterback Arch Manning, safety Derek Williams and wide receiver Johntay Cook as top 50 players in Texas’ class.

Muhammad profiles as a corner but has the athleticism and IQ to lineup at any position in the secondary. He has the ability to come downhill and make a tackle as well as snagging interceptions with excellent ball skills.
He is the cousin of former Oklahoma State All-Big 12 corner AJ Green, but Muhammad will suit up in a different shade of Orange for his college career.
