It has been a busy couple of days for Penn State commit Drew Allar. The prized quarterback recruit in Penn State’s Class of 2022 got a chance to mix and mingle with some of his (potentially) future teammates on an official visit to Penn State, and now he is on the scene at the nation’s premier quarterback competition, the Elite 11 Finals.
Proving not to be one to wait long, Allar was apparently the first quarterback to check in at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles…

Allar joins some of the top quarterback prospects in the nation in the Elite 11 Finals. In all, 20 quarterbacks received an invite to the competition, and the Elite 11 will be announced following the competition.
Allar received his invite to the ELite 11 Finals in early June after putting on a show at a regional Elite 11 camp in Indianapolis in early May. Allar tied for first place at the Indianapolis regional with CJ Carr (Saline, MI) and Luther Richesson (Nashville, TN).
A handful of former Penn State quarterbacks attended the Elite 11 event dating back to its origin in 1999. That list includes Anthony Morelli, Pat Devlin, Rob Bolden, Christian Hackenberg, Sean Clifford, and Christian Veilleux. This year’s Elite 11 Finals will be held in Los Angles from June 30-July 3.
For Allar, it’s just another major opportunity to compete against the nation’s best before his arrival at Penn State. In May, Allar accepted an invitation to play in the 2022 Adidas All-American Bowl. Allar committed to Penn State on March 8.
