Sunday’s AFC Championship Game was quite the ride for Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Eli Apple.
The Chiefs made a point to pick on Apple for much of the first half, which included forcing him into a pass interference penalty in the end zone. But moments later, Apple made the game-turning play when he stopped the Chiefs’ Tyreek Hill short of the end zone as time expired in the first half. The Bengals rode that momentum into 21-unanswered points and a trip to the Super Bowl.
So, yeah, Apple probably earned the right to talk some trash.
After the game, Apple took to Twitter and called Hill a baby — along with sharing a video of the goal-line tackle.
He’s a baby ! @cheetah https://t.co/M6GIKF7igP

Hill responded and insisted on Apple talking to him directly instead of starting a beef on Twitter. Mecole Hardman agreed.
No Twitter beef big dog just hit my line https://t.co/OxGkxTpwh3

Yeah Hit my line too… ✌🏾 https://t.co/YkiWu9NRg9

But Apple wasn’t quite done with the trolling. The Chiefs were so close to a trip to the Super Bowl that Apple thought he should send Hill and Hardman to Los Angeles anyway on his dime. What a guy!
Aye @MecoleHardman4 @cheetah dm me yall number and I’ll hook yall up wit them super bowl tickets on me 🤞🏿

I mean, that’s just cold.
At least in 2016, each player in the Super Bowl got a pair of free tickets but would have to pay $1,800 for each additional ticket. So, that’s quite the generous offer from Apple even if it’s in a disingenuous, trolling kind of way.
I don’t think they’ll take Apple up on that offer, though.
