Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Eli Apple played a key role in his team’s Week 15 win over the Denver Broncos.
After, he took a shot at Broncos wideout Jerry Jeudy.
Once again called into action, this time in place of Chidobe Awuzie (right as Trae Waynes finally returned, of course), Apple put on a strong showing against Jeudy and the Broncos.
Those Broncos only passed for 159 yards at home, with Jeudy — Denver’s top-15 pick in 2020 — catching zero passes on four targets.
Here’s what Apple had to say after the game on social media while commentating on a highlight that shows him “dropping” an interception:
Best play jeudy made all game https://t.co/GDFt3KQrX7

Apple has been a fun redemption story for the Bengals this season as he’s stepped up big when called upon, so he’s totally within his rights to be feeling himself right about now as his team makes a serious playoff push.
