The Carolina Panthers are likely to have at least one of their top defenders back on Sunday.
This afternoon, defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero was asked about the statuses of outside linebacker Brian Burns and cornerback Jaycee Horn leading to the Week 11 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
“I am not sure. Coach [Reich] will address the injuries,” he replied. “We’re hopeful. I think Brian is actually gonna play. Brian will play. Jaycee—Coach will address that. We’ll see where it goes.”
Burns, who sustained a concussion in the Week 9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, missed last Thursday night’s short turnaround against the Chicago Bears. The two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher returned to practice this week and has been listed as a full participant for both Wednesday and Thursday.
Horn, meanwhile, remains limited. The third-year cornerback, who was designated to return from injured reserve on Monday, has not played since the regular-season opener due to a hamstring injury.
