Arkansas Razorbacks baseball was well represented across the MLB for Opening Day.
Eight former Arkansas Razorbacks baseball program players were on an MLB roster during the first pitch. The Diamond Hogs are one of four SEC programs with at least eight former players on MLB Opening Day rosters; Florida (10), Vanderbilt (10), and LSU (8).
Brian Anderson (Brewers) and Andrew Benintendi (White Sox) were the only two who made the starting lineup. Benintendi is probably the best of the bunch. The former SEC Player of the Year bats .278 for his career at the plate. 62 players from the program have gone on to make the big leagues
