The Baltimore Ravens signed safety Eddie Jackson to a one-year deal a few days ago to add defensive back depth to their ranks. He will slot in behind Kyle Hamilton and Marcus Williams in the team’s safety room, which is key considering the team lost safety Geno Stone to the Cincinnati Bengals during the early stages of 2024 free agency.
Jackson is a player that can be a veteran in a somewhat young Ravens safety room, and lead by example with some of the younger and up-and-coming players. It didn’t take long for Jackson to already get acclimated to his new team, nabbing an interception in one of his first training camp practices.

Jackson isn’t the player he once was earlier in his career, but certainly can have a successful tenure in Baltimore due to the team’s defensive system and the role he’ll be asked to play. There’s plenty to like about Jackson’s signing for the Ravens, and it’s a home run move for Eric DeCosta and company.
