“I think it’s more of an excuse,” he said. “You’re supposed to be ready to play whether there’s anybody in there. I don’t have to ask Razorbacks to come out there.”
The Razorbacks were fortunate to be scheduled as one of the afternoon games last Saturday for ESPN broadcast, which schedules games in the eastern time zone. The Razorbacks didn’t play an early game until they faced Georgia, resulting in the team’s first season loss.
“Georgia’s crowd last year was deafening when we went out there. It was a problem for us, just like hopefully our crowd will be Saturday.”
Razorback Stadium was rocking for the season opener, which should continue into week two. 70,000 tickets have been sold for the Hogs’ first SEC matchup of the season against South Carolina.
