Eagles to sign ex-Titans QB Marcus Mariota

The Eagles are reportedly set to sign ex-Titans QB Marcus Mariota.

After one season with the Atlanta Falcons, ex-Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota has found a new home with the Philadelphia Eagles.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Mariota has agreed to terms with the Eagles on a one-year, $5 million deal that has a max value of $8 million. Schefter notes that Mariota will be the No. 2 behind Jalen Hurts.

Mariota started in 13 games for the Falcons last season, completing 61.3 percent of his passes for 2,219 yards and 15 touchdowns to nine interceptions. Mariota added 438 yards on the ground and another four scores.

The Falcons decided to make a change late in the season, choosing to go with rookie Desmond Ridder. After being benched, Mariota left the team with what was described as a knee injury, but many saw it as him quitting on the team.

Whatever the case may be, the former No. 2 overall pick joins his fourth team in five years.
