The Philadelphia Eagles are one win away from securing a playoff birth, but they could make a postseason run without the services of star tight end, Zach Ertz.
Ian Rapoport is reporting that Ertz suffered a lacerated kidney in the Eagles win over the Cowboys and his season is in jeopardy.
Aside from a fractured rib, Zach Ertz also lacerated his kidney in last Sunday’s game, NFL source confirms @RapSheet report. Ertz didn’t initially show any signs of further injury, source said. But kidney injury was discovered Monday. Ertz’s season is likely over.

Lacerated kidney usually takes about a month to heal, meaning Ertz wouldn’t be available and healthy again until at least the Super Bowl.
With Ertz out, the Eagles will turn to Dallas Goedert, who had a monster game against the Cowboys and Josh Perkins. The Eagles brought back Richard Rodgers this week as well.
