Philadelphia Eagles tackle Jordan Mailata found a very direct way to defend how well his quarterback Jalen Hurts has played this season.
During a postgame interview after Super Bowl 57, Mailata talked about how stellar Hurts was during the big game despite his team’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Mailata’s defense may have circled back to some controversy that sparked earlier in the season. Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons made a perceived slight toward Hurts when discussing Philly’s success.
Mailata and Parsons cleared the air about the comments later in the season, but Hurts’ blindside protector gave his quarterback one last block against the haters for the season.

We could all use someone like Mailata blocking for us, literally and metaphorically. With Hurts’ future so bright in Philly, the critiques will undoubtedly continue from anyone who feels smarter than what they see on the field. Such is the life of a Monday morning quarterback.
Just don’t try to get those takes off near Mailata. He won’t have it.
