The Philadelphia Eagles have started a season 0-2 for the first time in the Doug Pederson and although it’s not time to sound the panic alarm, the Birds have a ton of things that need correcting before the Bengals come to town on Sunday.

With the Rams loss in the books, here’s the snap count for Sunday’s loss:

***

Quarterback: Carson Wentz 71 snaps, Jalen Hurts 3 snaps

The Eagles rookie quarterback and second-round pick finally had something of a package setup for him and Hurts was on the field for 3 snaps as a decoy. With Carson Wentz’s struggles, especially in the red zone, look for Hurts snaps to increase as the Eagles look for a spark.

Offensive Line: Jason Peters 71 snaps, Jason Kelce 71 snaps, Nate Herbig 71 snaps, Lane Johnson 69 snaps, Matt Pryor 46 snaps, Isaac Seumalo 25 snaps, Jack Driscoll 3 snaps

The Eagles offensive line held up under pressure against Aaron Donald and the Rams and Sunday’s loss can’t be laid at their feet. Matt Pryor got time at left guard after Isaac Seumalo suffered a knee injury.

Running Backs: Miles Sanders 55 snaps, Boston Scott 13 snaps, Corey Clement 3 snaps

The workhorse era for Miles Sanders got off to a rocky start after a first-quarter fumble, but the Eagles star running back settled down from there. Sanders finished the game with 95 yards rushing on 20 carries and cemented himself as a difference-maker in the Eagles offense.

Wide Receiver: Jalen Reagor 60 snaps, DeSean Jackson 55 snaps, JJ Arcega-Whiteside 16 snaps, Greg Ward 13 snaps, John Hightower 7 snaps

With the Eagles in 12 personnel for the bulk of the ball game, Ward was reduced to 13 snaps on the day. DeSean Jackson finally came alive with all his catches coming in the second half.

Tight End: Zach Ertz 67 snaps, Dallas Goedert 63 snaps, Richard Rodgers 12 snaps

The Eagles tight end duo was outplayed with Ertz and Goedert combining for 9 catches on 15 total targets.

Defensive Line: Fletcher Cox 48 snaps, Brandon Graham 44, Malik Jackson 41 snaps, Josh Sweat 39 snaps, Derek Barnett 31 snaps, Javon Hargrave 23 snaps, Hassan Ridgeway 21 snaps, Casey Toohill 21 snaps,

The line struggled to get any pressure on Jared Goff all afternoon and the debut of Javon Hargrave was a quiet one at defensive tackle as the high priced free agent logged just 23 snaps on Sunday.

Linebacker: Nate Gerry 69 snaps, Duke Riley 49 snaps, T.J. Edwards 28 snaps, Shaun Bradley 15 snaps, Alex Singleton 15 snaps, Davion Taylor 8 snaps

Gerry may have played his worst game as a pro, getting beat on multiple occasions by Rams star tight end Tyler Higbee. Duke Riley had a presence on passing downs and even as the Eagles were gashed in the running game, T.J. Edwards only logged 28 snaps.

Cornerback: Darius Slay 67 snaps, Avonte Maddox 69 snaps, Nickell Robey-Coleman 41 snaps, Cre’Von LeBlanc 3 snaps, Trevor Williams 2 snaps,

Safety: Rodney McLeod 69 snaps, Jalen Mills 69 snaps, Marcus Epps 16 snaps, Rudy Ford 21 snaps, K’Von Wallace 15 snaps.
