Eagles sign ex-Broncos wide receiver during playoffs

Two ex-Broncos who did not receive reserve/future deals from Denver signed with Eagles (Tyrie Cleveland) and Patriots (Olakunle Fatukasi).

The Philadelphia Eagles have added some depth to their wide receiver room ahead of their playoff showdown with the New York Giants.

The Eagles signed former Denver Broncos wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland to their practice squad earlier this week, via Glenn Erby of Eagles Wire. Philly will have the option to elevate Cleveland to the game-day roster for Saturday’s game against the Giants.

Cleveland spent most of the 2022 season on Denver’s practice squad. At the end of their season, the Broncos signed nine of their practice squad players to reserve/future contracts. Cleveland was one of five players who did not receive a reserve/future deal from Denver, making him a free agent.

After being let go by the Broncos, Cleveland quickly found a home with the Eagles. Three of the four other players — WR Kaden Davis, TE Dalton Keene and OL George Moore — remain free agents. The fourth, ILB Olakunle Fatukasi, signed with the New England Patriots.

Story update: The Philadelphia Eagles have signed TE Dalton Keene to a reserve/future contract.
