Smith was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He played in 14 games, recorded five combined tackles, and became a special teams ace at punt returner.
Smith spent 2019 Training Camp with the Chiefs before being waived and then claimed by the Green Bay Packers, where he played in seven games.
