Eagles RT Lane Johnson has been recovering from ankle surgery

Lane Johnson had ankle surgery in August but should play vs. Washington

Philadelphia Eagles star right tackle Lane Johnson missed a good portion of the 2020 training camp with an undisclosed lower-body injury. Johnson returned to practice on Friday and looks primed to start against Washington in the season opener.

ESPN’s Tim McManus is reporting that Johnson had a procedure done on his ankle last month, a small “cleanout”.

Johnson’s presence has been felt this summer as a leader and on Thursday, he played a huge role in Jason Peters getting a new contract, when the Eagles right tackle restructured his deal to free up money.
