Eagles reportedly ‘blown away’ with Jalen Hurts

The Eagles are reportedly ‘blown away’ with Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts is apparently off to a hot start in Philadelphia.

Per NFL analyst Nick Kosko, the Eagles have been extremely impressed with the young QB out the gate.

“I’m excited to see what they do with Jalen Hurts” Jeremiah said. “All reports I’ve gotten out of Eagles camp, they are blown away with not only…how athletic he is, but how smart he is and how much of a professional he is.”

Hurts was taken at No. 53 overall in the 2020 draft. In his lone season with Oklahoma, he showed off his versatility, amassing 3,851 passing yards and 1,298 rushing yards. He finished with 52 touchdowns in total.

“Everyone’s fallen in love with him.” Jeremiah continued. “How are they going to use him? I know people have used Taysom Hill as a template for him. To me I don’t think he’ll get that much volume but they’ll find some spots. Maybe it’s in short yardage, probably a good chance you see him sprinkled in the red zone and be able to do some things running the football and using that mobility.”

Hurts more than likely will not be able to snag the starting spot from Eagles’ QB Carson Wentz, but with a good preseason he could shore up the backup role, and see flex minutes.

The Eagles are expected to kick off their season on on September 13 against the Washington Football Club.
