Eagles’ RB Miles Sanders is progressing well, but the team wants to make sure he’s good to go for the long haul, so it’s keeping the big picture in mind with him. https://t.co/c7klr8LQ6u

It was announced by ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Saturday afternoon that Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders will not make the trip to Washington for the Week 1 game on Sunday, as he has been dealing with a hamstring injury that had him listed as questionable throughout the week. He is now listed as out, obviously.
With Sanders out, the Eagles will now rely on both Boston Scott and Cory Clement to carry their running game, which is good news for Washington. Sanders is expected to be one of the better RBs in the NFL this season, so being able to avoid him early on in the year is always a bonus.
