On Sunday, the Eagles completed a season sweep and captured the NFC East with a resounding 41-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field.
The win gives Nick Sirianni’s team the No. 2 seed, and depending on Sunday night football, Philadelphia still has an outside shot at the No. 1 seed if the Vikings lose to Green Bay on Sunday Night Football and then turn around and defeat the Detroit Lions in Week 18.
In the two-game sweep of the Cowboys, Philadelphia outscored Dallas 75-13 in the process,
Playing without quarterback Jalen Hurts, Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee both tossed touchdown passes as the Eagles outscored the Cowboys 75-13 in two regular-season meetings this season.
In the win, records were broken. Saquon Barkley carried the football 31 times for 167 yards (5.4 avg), eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark, and was 101 yards shy of Eric Dickerson’s 2,105 yards, set in 1984.
