Eagles open the practice window for Jordan Mailata ahead of game vs. Commanders

Jordan Mailata is set for a return to the lineup as the Philadelphia Eagles opened up his 21-day practice window

The Philadelphia Eagles are getting a significant reinforcement back, as Jordan Mailata had his 21-day practice window opened ahead of the Thursday night matchup against the Washington Commanders.

Mailata has missed the past four games with a hamstring injury and was placed on injured reserve.

Mailata is set to return to the lineup just days after the entire roster was listed as healthy for Sunday’s win over the Cowboys.

Fred Johnson came off the bench for Mailata in the last four games, all wins for the Eagles.

Even with the missed time, Mailata is Pro Football Focus’ third highest-graded offensive tackle this season, behind only Miami’s Terron Armstead and Detroit’s Penei Sewell.  Lane Johnson is seventh. According to PFF’s metrics, Mailata is the second-best pass protector and fourth-best run-blocking tackle.

According to PFF, Mailata has only allowed one sack this season.
