The News broke almost a week ago, but on Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the signing of wide receiver Jordan Matthews.

Matthews was one of the receivers we thought the Eagles might have interest in, seeing hows he’s close friends with star quarterback Carson Wentz and is familiar with the Birds offense.
The Eagles announced last Monday that DeSean Jackson was undergoing surgery for a core muscle injury and his timeframe is 4-6 weeks to an indefinite amount of time.
Last season in limited action for the Eagles, Matthews had 20 catches for 300 yards and 2 TDs.
