Cameron Dicker is likely in his last hours on the Eagles roster, but he’ll leave Philadelphia with a substantial regular season honor.
Dicker was signed after a workout and elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals to fill in for an injured Jake Elliott.
The former Texas Longhorns place kicker was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Week 5.
Dicker was flawless in relief of Elliott, nailing a 42-yarder and a 23-yarder with 1:48 remaining – and totaled eight points as Philadelphia beat Arizona 20-17 to remain the NFL’s last undefeated team.
Thanks to Dicker’s honor, the Eagles extended their streak of having a Player of the Week after every game this season. Zech McPhearson was named Special Teams Player of the Week after recovering an onside kick in the opener against the Detroit Lions.
Philadelphia then had three straight Defensive Player of the Week honors for Darius Slay (Vikings), Brandon Graham (Commanders), and Haason Reddick (Jaguars).
