Eagles interest in KJ Hamler could be heating up after virtual top-30 predraft meeting

KJ Hamler meets with Philadelphia Eagles online

The 2020 NFL offseason is in full swing and with the coronavirus forcing the league to take everything online, the Eagles recently met with an intriguing target.

According to NFL Network, Penn State star wideout KJ Hamler had his second official meeting with the Eagles, this time via FaceTime.

Under the rules set up by the CBA, teams can only meet with prospect draft picks via online or virtual simulation.

The Eagles are expected to target multiple wide receivers in the draft and Hamler and has been a player of interest since the college football season ended.

The Eagles were active in free agency but didn’t target a wideout, further cementing Howie Roseman’s approach of building through the draft.

The Eagles have a chance to secure a wide receiver with the No. 21 pick, and could double-dip at No. 53 as well.

The Eagles have a pressing need for speed and Hamler is that and so much more.

During his final season at Penn State, Hamler caught 56 passes for 904 yards and eight touchdowns, with an average of 16.1 yards-per-catch.
