Cons: He’s young. It’s that simple. As a 32-year old he has yet to be truly tested at the NFL level. Just because it worked out for Sean McVay doesn’t automatically mean it will work out for Brady. Don’t believe me? Look at the first coach on this list in Josh McDaniels. McDaniels got his first head coaching job at 33 and was back coordinating an offense by the time he was 36. It doesn’t always work out.
Just because Brady has shown an ability to get receivers open and run an effective offense at the collegiate and professional level doesn’t necessarily mean he’s ready to be a head coach or lead 53 grown men. Though he’s shown the ability to coach up his players, like Mike Davis in lieu of McCaffrey, I’d like to see him do it at least one more time before handing over the keys to the kingdom.
In conclusion: Impressive, young offensive innovator who is still green in terms of NFL experience.
