The Philadelphia Eagles just finished wrapping up training camp and the organization is just beginning some important work in the community.
On Monday the Eagles announced that they’ve teamed up with the American Red Cross to host a series of blood drives for COVID-19 relief support.
“We offer our sincere gratitude to the American Red Cross for their partnership over these last few months,” said Don Smolenski, Philadelphia Eagles President. “Our appreciation also extends to all of the donors who graciously donated blood during such a critical time of need to help those in our communities.”
More than 400 donors were screened, 300 pints of blood collected, and 1,000 patient lives were potentially saved through the Philadelphia Eagles Community Blood Drives.
