The Philadelphia Eagles have created $10 million in salary cap space after agreeing to a one-year, $33.445 million contract extension with Lane Johnson, including $30 million guaranteed.

The Eagles are holding on to Lane Johnson for a few more years after signing the All-Pro right tackle to a one-year, $33 million contract extension.

Johnson hasn’t allowed a sack or quarterback hit in over two years and logged an All-Pro campaign in 2022 after dominating every pass rusher he faced.

According to Over the Cap’s potential transaction chart, the Eagles entered the 2023 NFL offseason easily able to create $33,243,035 in cap space by making a handful of moves.

With Johnson’s extension and the late-minute contract extension for Darius Slay, Philadelphia has freed up close to $25 million in cap space.
