No. 9 Tennessee (5-1, 2-1 SEC) defeated Florida (3-3, 1-2 SEC), 23-17 in overtime, at Neyland Stadium during Week 7.
The Gators led, 3-0, at halftime.
Tennessee won on a 1-yard touchdown run by Dylan Sampson after Florida missed a field goal on its overtime possession. Sampson led the Vols with 112 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 27 attempts. He also totaled two receptions for seven receiving yards.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava completed 16-of-26 passing attempts for 169 yards and one interception. He also lost a fumble on Tennessee’s opening possession of the contest.
Squirrel White totaled five receptions for 71 yards for Tennessee.
