Nebraska football quarterback Dylan Raiola was named to the Pro Football Focus “True Freshman to Know in College Football” list earlier this week.
Raiola has received several accolades over the last couple of weeks, including the Polynesian Bowl Hall of Fame Award Watch List and 247Sports Freshman All-America Team honors.
Raiola went 19-of-27 passing for 238 yards and two touchdowns in Nebraska’s 40-7 victory over UTEP. The 1-0 Huskers are looking for their first bowl game since the 2016 season when they lost to Tennessee in the Music City Bowl by a score of 24-38.
The Huskers have a favorable first six games in 2024, with Colorado being perhaps the most awaited contest out of those games. Raiola will be tasked with leading the program through a highly-anticipated season.
Nebraska will host the Buffaloes this Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT and can be seen on NBC/Peacock.
