Tyler Herro on Saturday scored 20 points and three rebounds to help the Miami Heat to a 124-115 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series.

Herro finished by shooting 6-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range, in 28 minutes of work off of the bench as the Heat took a 3-0 series lead over the Pacers. Herro made quick work in the contest, scoring eight points alone in the first quarter.

His strong play on Saturday drew the attention of Heat legend, and future Hall of Famer, Dwyane Wade during the game. Wade, at one point, asked if Herro was still classified as a rookie, basically insinuating that he looked like a seasoned veteran.

Herro has emerged as a key piece for the Heat during the season restart and is a big reason why the team is on the verge of sweeping the Pacers. He has drawn praise from head coach Erik Spoelstra for his work on defense but he also showed off his handled one possession.

Herro is averaging 16.7 points through the Heat’s first three playoff games and, as Wade pointed out, hasn’t looked like a rookie thus far. He has proven to be a confident player and that has been on display so far during the postseason.

The Heat will look to sweep the Pacers in Game 4 on Monday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
