It Takes Two’s big-screen adaptation is enlisting the talents of none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
As reported by Variety, Johnson will serve as executive producer on the It Takes Two movie alongside Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia on behalf of Seven Buck Studios for Amazon Prime. There’s a chance that Johnson will star in the film, but there’s nothing official regarding It Takes Two’s casting by this point.
It Takes Two came out on PC and consoles to wild acclaim and monstrous sales numbers — even taking home the highest prize at the Game Awards 2021. The story involves May and Cody, a couple dealing with the strange ramifications of their impending divorce. Some magical force turns them into literal dolls, and they’ve got to overcome miniaturized hazards in the slim chance of getting back to their bodies. It’s weird, wonderful, and one of the best co-op games out there.

With the success of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, film studios are adapting video games left and right. Earlier this week, reports of Minecraft starring Jason Momoa began rolling in along with more details on the Ghost of Tsushima movie finding its writer. Then there’s Fallout, Last of Us, Halo, Metal Gear Solid, and probably ten more by the time this story goes live.
