Washington backup quarterback Dwayne Haskins has once again been sent home from practice on Wednesday after continuing to show signs of illness, which kept him from being at Washington’s game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
It has been reported that Haskins is dealing with a stomach virus, and the illness is not expected to be related to the coronavirus. The former starting QB has been tested for COVID a number of times recently, and all tests have come back negative.
The illness to Haskins doesn’t play a huge part in the depth chart anymore, with Kyle Allen now listed as the starter and Alex Smith listed as the backup. It is unclear if Washington will choose to keep Haskins around through the trade deadline, but it’s something to keep an eye on.
