Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins was inevitably the subject of speculation during the NFL combine.
So it simply goes for the quarterback of the team clutching the second overall pick, especially in a draft class with talents like Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa.
It didn’t help that new Redskins coach Ron Rivera openly admitted the team is doing due diligence on other quarterbacks. That, plus the fact Haskins wasn’t Rivera’s pick and a new head coach typically likes to go and get his own quarterback, made for plenty of speculation in the media.
While it all seems like a smooth smokescreen process by the Redskins to squeak as much value out of a potential trade as possible, noise is noise.
And Haskins himself heard it.
The second-year passer responded with a few notes on social media which paint where his mindset is at really well:
Pissed off for greatness ‼️
