It was posited at halftime of the Washington Redskins game against the Green Bay Packers that rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins should be pulled from the game in order to preserve his health, as he had suffered a leg injury and was seen limping around the field.
It seems now that the Redskins couldn’t have pulled him from the game even if they tried.
Haskins said after the game that there was no way he was coming out because of the injury, and he stayed in long enough to lead a late touchdown drive to cut the lead to 20-15 after an incredible catch from WR Terry McLaurin. In the end, Haskins showed a ton of heart and grit by opting to stay in the game, and he surely picked up a lot of credibility with his veteran teammates as well.
