Dwayne Haskins receives highest PFF grade of his career on Sunday

Haskins didn’t do anything too special on Sunday, but he was steady enough to lead the Redskins to a victory over the Panthers.

There’s a first time for everything, and hopefully, it’s the first of many.

Washington Redskins’ rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins was given the highest Pro Football Focus grade on the team in Washington’s 29-21 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. His stats didn’t jump off the page — Haskins finished 13-for-25 for 147 yards and zero touchdowns — but he did just enough to keep possession of the ball and let his playmakers do their job on offense.

It also doesn’t hurt that the Washington defense played very well, and they forced either a punt or interception on nine-straight drives after giving up two early scores.

In the end, Haskins is rewarded for his growth and development as a young QB, and the last few weeks have pointed towards a hopefully bright future in the NFL. Here’s to more articles about Haskins being the highest-graded player for the Redskins down the road, as well.
