With the full-team scrimmage at FedEx field standing as the only thing between Washington and the end of training camp, Sunday’s training camp practice was significant. Many players had their last shot to make an impression on the coaching staff, and their roster spot hangs in the balance.
On a day when many of the young players on the bubble were expected to step up, it was two of Washington’s superstars who made the biggest impressions on the day. We already showed you the monster goal-line stop that rookie Chase Young made against Adrian Peterson, saving a touchdown, and now reports are out that quarterback Dwayne Haskins put on an absolute show at the end of practice.
Haskins leads the offense on a double-digit play, 60-yard touchdown drive. Biggest play was a 30-yard completion to Trey Quinn in the middle of the field. Capped it with a 3-yard rush TD. Moses screaming “yes sir” repeatedly after the score.

After taking a sack on the first play, Haskins completed five of his next six passes. He just scrambled into the end zone, and Morgan Moses sprinted up to him to celebrate.

Dwayne Haskins just ran the ball in for a TD. OLine was hyped up for him, especially Morgan Moses who followed him in yelling “Yes sir, yes sir!” This is the energy that we’ve been seeing from the team the whole day.

After taking a sack, Haskins went 5-for-6 and led the team on a touchdown drive that was capped off by him scrambling away from a collapsing pocket and in for the score.
As a Washington fan, that may be one of the better sentences you’ve read during all of training camp. The season is fast approaching, and all accounts are that Haskins is looking to be ready to lead this team into some much needed success.
