NASCAR has landed a massive star ahead of the 2024 Daytona 500. On Sunday night, NASCAR announced that [autotag]Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson[/autotag] will give the command to start engines at the 2024 Daytona 500. This is a huge addition to the Cup Series, with Pitbull performing pre-race at Daytona International Speedway.
The sport’s biggest event in 2024 will be the 66th running, and the names couldn’t be any bigger. This isn’t the first time “The Rock” has served as a grand marshall for a NASCAR race. In April 2004, he gave the command to start engines at the Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. Now, Johnson is doing at NASCAR’s “Great American Race.”

NASCAR’s aggressive mindset of acquiring top-tier talent for its races has worked out again. Over the past few years, former United States president Donald Trump, former NFL player J.J. Watt, and several others have served as the grand marshall for the Daytona 500. Now, it’s “The Rock” who will have the honor on Sunday, February 18.
