Unlike a Hollywood movie franchise, the trilogy usually delivers the goods in MMA.
Up next to do their own Part 3 is [autotag]Dustin Poirier[/autotag] and [autotag]Conor McGregor[/autotag], who square off in the UFC 264 headliner. McGregor knocked out Poirier when they first fought at featherweight in September 2014 then Poirier emphatically got his revenge more than six years later with a second-round finish of McGregor this past January at UFC 257.
On Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Poirier and McGregor will settle the score, with legacy and bragging rights on the line for both men. Will “The Notorious” close the book on this trilogy with his hand raised, or will “The Diamond” shine again?
Watch the video above to reflect on how Poirier and McGregor arrived at a third act.
